Gog galaxy reddit11/13/2023 With Steam/Galaxy running and cloud support enabled, the client would just download the cloud copy of your existing profile. Deleting or renaming it will get the game to recreate it on startup playing the game from a different Windows user account would effectively do the same thing. This folder contains the saved games, configuration files and a level cache folder. The easiest way to get there would be to copy %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios into the location bar in Explorer and hit Enter. Next, try browsing to the ‘C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Larian Studios’ folder and rename the ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ subfolder. Alternately, exit out of the Steam client, or Galaxy for the GOG version, and just start the game directly from the executable when required. If applicable, disable Steam cloud support either globally (in the client click on the Steam menu and select Settings, and then Cloud) or just for this game (in the library right click BG3 and select Properties, then switch to the General tab and check the Steam Cloud section). Try exiting out of the Steam client, or Galaxy for the GOG version, and starting the game directly from the ‘.\SteamApps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin’ folder, by right clicking the executable (bg3.exe for Vulkan, or bg3_dx11.exe) and running as administrator. With the GOG version, in the (optional) Galaxy client, select the game, then the settings icon at the top right (beside the Play button) and under Manage Installation select ‘Verify / Repair’. Try verifying local files: in the Steam library, right click on the game and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files…’ button. %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3\LevelCache The easiest way to get there would be to copy the line below into the location bar in Explorer and hit Enter. A corrupt file there can cause problems when saving or loading. Try browsing to the ‘C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3\LevelCache’ folder and delete the contents. This has been less of an issue since patch 7, with the change to save the profiles in the local AppData folder. Windows Defender has also caused issues (generally file system errors) in that case an exception for the game can be made in Start, Settings, Updates & Security, Windows Security, Virus & threat protection, Virus & threat protection settings, Add or remove exclusions.Īt least in patch 6 Avast and AVG have caused various save issues by blocking the game’s access to the My Documents folder (one person reported it was the launcher that was the issue for Avast, and adding LariLauncher.exe to the trusted apps list fixed the problem another reported that AVG quarantined the launcher). In those cases, including both the game executables and Larian Studios local AppData folder in BitDefender’s trusted app and directory sections would fix the problem (Advance Threat Defense, Ransomware Protection / Safe Files, Application Access). Baldur’s Gate 3 Save Issues Fix:Īre you shutting down all non-essential programs before starting the game, especially anti-virus and any backup programs, etc, that may be monitoring disk activity?įor example, a few people have had BitDefender block the game from being able to create files and folders, which has caused errors when loading. If so, we’re here to help with the Baldur’s Gate save issues with a detailed way on how to fix it. If you’re playing Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC, you might have come across save issues and how you might have a problem loading your game file as well.

Transistor radio m.ward11/13/2023 By the way, besides the two Bright Eyes releases from earlier this year, this is one album featuring the talents of My Morning Jacket’s Jim James.įew can master the art of old time music, fewer still can maintain their own independent singer / songwriter style while trying to play old time music. “Big Boat” features pals Vic Chesnutt and Jenny Lewis on backup vocals for a Jerry Lee Lewis / Elvis Presley pastiche. “Fuel for Fire” is like an indie version of Glen Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman” and I mean that in the best way possible. “Hi-Fi” is a stunner which was echoed by later songs by John Vanderslice. “Sweethearts on Parade” seems to marry Lindsay Buckingham’s guitars from “Second Hand News” with Pixies-esque songwriting and Nick Drake vocals. This subtlety may have made this album easy to overlook, but the listener was deprived for the lack of it. Ward’s voice lilts and swoons over his light guitar work making one of the most delicate albums of the year. Listening to this album made me think of the things in my head I variously associate with the turn of the century to the 20’s, HBO’s Carnivalé, Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath, and Sam Mendes’ The Road to Perdition. Pops, scratches, and hollow tin can vocals abound on this tribute to radio songs of old. The album could have easily been called The Golden Age of Wireless had that title not already been taken by Thomas Dolby. When everything else today seemingly needs a blip or a beep, Ward is content letting the spirit of centuries past play his backing band, giving Transistor Radio the sweet spirit your history textbook is lacking.Opening with a gorgeous acoustic guitar cover of the Beach Boys’ “You Still Believe In Me,” Transistor Radio is one of the hidden gems of 2005. And most importantly, where a man with an acoustic guitar can put you right in the middle of this serenity, despite honing his craft in the post-millennial age. Where the internet and digital cable aren’t even part of the vocabulary. Ward’s diverse yet strangely united, collective sound is blanketed with the rustic sense of rootsy, outdoors America-where the back-porch is still home, where the rocking chair sways softly in the breeze, where the sun sets over the horizon and you can see for miles over the amber landscape. But the shots Ward does take here hit hard-”Come back / My little peace of mind,” and “I’ve got lonesome fuel for fire” say so much with so little that I imagine all other so-called lyricists jealous that Ward got to these sentiments before they could. Transistor Radio bears a less introspective nature to its predecessor-nowhere is Ward hoping for “a voice at the end of the line,” instead taking on a more abstract, metaphorical lyrical tone that suits the evasive setting the songs take place in. Ward turns the dial of his own transistor radio and captures the sound, atmosphere, and production of everything he picks up signal on-even if it means the monophonic haze of “One Life Away” (with Jim James) sounds ancient in comparison to the following track, the sweetly disorienting “Sweethearts on Parade.” Somehow, it all makes sense as a whole. But delve deeper and you find that these songs have as many layers as a towering evergreen trunk carved into cross-section view. Which makes it so difficult to pinpoint Ward’s sound, to pick words to describe it-on the surface, it’s incredibly simple-sounding. His voice, which is downtrodden and just a little rusty, cracks over these mini-dirges with a timeless charm. When exactly was this album recorded again? Which, perhaps, is his biggest asset-he knows the virtues of ambiguity. Although you can still pick fragments of the original’s sweetly melancholic arrangement out, Ward’s version has gathered some antique charm-it takes on a completely different personality in Ward’s hands. It’s the Beach Boys’ “You Still Believe In Me,” re-created on two acoustic guitars. A familiar melody chimes through the beginning of Transistor Radio, Matt Ward’s third album and follow-up to the extraordinary Transfiguration of Vincent. Baby yoda cookie cutter11/13/2023 Use the green icing to fill in the Baby Yodas’ head and ears, then immediately use the black to pipe eyes onto the wet green icing. Use the thinned light brown icing to fill in the robes, using the toothpick to help spread it evenly. Put the thinned icing into squeeze bottles or piping bags. Then, adding just a drop or two of water at a time, thin all three icings to a consistency where if you drag a spoon through the middle of it, the icing will fill in the line in 8-10 seconds. Once all of the outlines are done, put the leftover icing back in the correct color bowl. Use the light brown icing to pipe the outline of a robe, then use the green to outline the face and ears. Cover the remaining icing by pressing plastic wrap down directly on the surface. Use a small spatula or spoon to put some of the light brown icing and the green icing into piping bags fitted with small tips. Use gel food coloring to dye the small portion of the icing black, and dye the other two portions light dusty green (start with a drop or two of brown and a few drops of green, then add more of each color as necessary) and a beige-y brown. Divide it into two parts, leaving a big spoonful or two for a third (small) bowl. While the cookies are cooling, make the royal icing. Next, use the knife to cut the heads off of the angels, as shown in the photos above. Make the sugar cookie dough, roll it out, and use the cookie cutter to cut angel shapes. Squeeze bottles (optional – you can use more piping bags if you’d prefer) Piping bags and small tips (I use Wilton #3) Green, brown, and black gel food coloring (I like Americolor brand) Royal icing (recipe below, or use the recipe on the back of a package of meringue powder) Sugar cookie dough (recipe below, or use your favorite)Īngel cookie cutter and a sharp knife (a small blade will be easier) But you’ll end up with super cute Baby Yoda cookies, so I think we can agree it’s worth it. I must warn you that if you’ve never decorated with royal icing before, it can be a challenge. I realized too late that I was out of black gel food coloring, so I used a bunch of brown mixed with some royal blue. Once you cut out some angel shapes, use a sharp knife to cut the heads off of the angels (I know, I know, but it’s just cookie dough!).īake those headless angels up and get ready to decorate!Īll you’ll need to make your Baby Yoda cookies extra kawaii is royal icing in a light dusty green, a beige-ish color, and black. The most critical thing you will need for Baby Yoda cookies is an angel cookie cutter. So when Toby sent me a meme thing he saw on Facebook about a way to make Baby Yoda cookies, I knew I had to get on that, stat. Do y’all watch the Mandalorian? If you do, you know that Baby Yoda (who is actually not Yoda and is known as “The Child”) is absolutely adorable. On 24 December 2016 after more than 13 years of development, HandBrake 1.0.0 was released. The MediaFork website and forums were moved to HandBrake's, and the next release was officially named HandBrake. Plans were then made to reintegrate MediaFork as a direct successor to HandBrake. On 13 February 2007, Hester and Long were contacted by Petit who informed them of his support and encouraged them to continue development. Hester and Long named the new project MediaFork. Unable to submit their revisions as a successor to HandBrake, Hester created a subversion repository mirroring HandBrake's final subversion (0.7.1) on the HandBrake website and began development on top of that. Hester and Long made progress in terms of stability, functionality, and look and feel, but it was not possible to submit their patch to the HandBrake subversion repository without authorisation from Petit. Since their work was complementary, they began working together to develop an unstable, but still compileable, release of HandBrake supporting the H.264 format. In September 2006, Rodney Hester and Chris Long had been independently working to extract the H.264 video compression format from Apple's iPod firmware (1.2) through reverse engineering before meeting on the HandBrake forum. From May–June 2006, no one in the HandBrake community was successful in contacting Petit, and no further code changes were officially made. Petit continued to be active on the HandBrake forum for a brief period after. He continued to be the primary developer until April 2006, when the last official Subversion revision was committed. HandBrake was originally developed by Eric Petit in 2003 as software for BeOS, before porting it to other systems. HandBrake clients are available for Linux, macOS, and Windows. These are collected in such a manner to make their use more effective and accessible (e.g., so that a user does not have to transcode a video's audio and visual components in separate steps, or with inaccessible command-line utilities). HandBrake's backend contains comparatively little original code the program is an integration of many third-party audio and video libraries, both codecs (such as FFmpeg, x264, and x265) and other components such as video deinterlacers (referred to as "filters"). It was originally developed in 2003 by Eric Petit to make ripping DVDs to a data storage device easier. HandBrake is a free and open-source transcoder for digital video files. Expanding spray foam without carefully planning can damage electrical wiring.Īccording to the National Electrical Code, you can have 4 12/2 nonmetallic sheathed cables through a single bored hole that is fire- or draft-stopped using thermal insulation, caulk, or sealing foam, or where proper spacing is not maintained for more that 24 in. So, if you were wondering whether expanding foam damages wiring the answer is yes. It also requires sealants to be compatible with cable jackets and other components as referenced in the sections below. What is the better solution? Also… duct seal (mostly used for sealing electric panels and such from water infiltration) is very similar to plumber’s putty but never dries out. The idea is to stop water from going behind the box and around the conduit into the wall. There should be holes inside the box or external ears for mounting. What you need to do is apply a paintable silicone acrylic or silicone caulk to the back of the box and around the entry hole before you screw the box to the wall. How do you seal outdoor electrical conduit? Use caulk, gaskets, or spray foam (note that spray foam degrades in sunlight). By creating a conical, unstable separation between the pole and the bird feeder, wrap-around baffles deter squirrels from stealing bird seed. Here are the three most popular:Ī wrap-around squirrel baffle is great for keeping squirrels away from bird feeders. You can buy a baffle in a variety of different shapes and sizes, so look for one that meets your needs. Any baffle that you believe could put a squirrel in harm's way should not be used.) Here's how they work: Once installed, they literally baffle the squirrel with their slippery, no-grip surface.
